Research and Teaching Interests

I am a geoscience education/geocognition researcher with a background in environmental geology and interests in pedagogy and science communication. My current research focuses on faculty professional development to understand changes to teaching practice, faculty perceptions of those changes, and impacts on student engagement, belonging, and success in undergraduate STEM courses.

I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of courses as a graduate student and an instructor including physical geology, physical geography, and interdisciplinary sciences.
