Research and Teaching Interests

Over the past years, I have worked with soil contamination by potentially toxic elements (PTE), especially Pb. I am now interested in working with both potentially toxic elements and rare earth elements (REE) as proxies for soil genesis in Antarctica. The abundance and distribution of REE can reflect past pedogenetic processes, which remain poorly understood when studied solely in the context of major and trace element abundance.
