The Southeastern Center of Robotics Education (SCORE) held its annual Southern Regional VEX Robotics Conference at Auburn University on October 10-11, 2019. The conference provided professional development opportunities for teachers across the southeast through hands-on workshops and technical sessions. Presentation topics ranged from the basics of competing in VEX tournaments to hosting robotics tournaments in addition to 3D printing, coding and programming.
Educators from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, and Arkansas participated in talks addressing increasing the number of females in robotics, designing robotics curriculum for the classroom, creating robotics leagues in their communities, and how to effectively document the design process through an engineering notebook.
