Congratulations to the COSAM Research Fair winners
The College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) held a virtual research fair on November 5. Congratulations to the winners:
- 1st place: Dory Fawwal, Microbiology - Novel Streptomyces species from marine sponges produce metabolites that kill methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
- 2nd place: Madeleine Bruderer, Biomedical Sciences, and Archibald Landrum, Biomedical Sciences – E. coli bacteriophages Lambda and PF-2 display differing patterns of adsorption rates following treatment with hydrogen peroxide
- 3rd place: Regan Moss, Microbiology and Neuroscience - Immunologic and stress responses of hatchling American alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) exposed to ecologically relevant estrogen levels
