Join us for a night of science, good drinks, tasty sweets and great conversations! At the AU Science Cafe, you'll have the opportunity to sit down and talk about new and exciting science and technology with scientists in our community, all while relaxing in a great local food and drink venue. Families are welcome for our Science Cafe sessions (parent discretion for our Science Pubs) and the event if FREE!

Science Pub, "Lessons of Life: Told from the Wings of a Butterfly"What: Dr. Brian Counterman is a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and a curator of the AU Museum of Natural History. His research lies in the genetic components and diversity of butterflies. Come hear the story of the origin of butterflies, and how Alabama and its scientists have played pivotal roles in shaping our understanding of butterfly diversification and the origin of species.
